Q3: Will there be food at the event

A4: Yes, we will provide lunch both days as well as some munchies during the event

Q4: Will there by prizes awarded for the winning submissions?

A4: Yes, there will be prizes for the winners; more details to be revealed as we get closer to the event. There will also be some cool swag, provided by our vendor partner, Akana, for all participants

Q5: Is there pre-reading/work we need to complete for the event?

A5: Yes, please find the pre-read materials that are loaded in the US Bank Hackathon Developer Portal ( You may also contact us at and we will send you the material.

Q6: What do we need to bring

A6: For the event, you will need to provide you work lap top. If you don’t already have it, please download Google Chrome. The rest of the tools you will be using during the hackathon will can be accessed with a cloud-based solution (Cloud 9)

A9: Our distinguished panel of judges will evaluate your work based on the following criteria

A10: The rules for the API Hackathon include:

Teams of up to 5 humans are allowed: You can also add 1 cyborg, Furby, drone, or Sphero. We will organize everyone into a team (based on location) and notify regarding which team you are on before the event.

We all start and stop coding at the same time: This is done to keep things fair. Please don't come in and build on top of previous projects if you want to win. All work must be completed by 2:00 pm CT on Thursday, Dec. 3.

The following work will be accepted for judging:

You will have 5 minutes to present your work: There will be one minute for Q&A from the judges. In addition to demoing your hack, you can use a maximum of two powerpoint slides to explain the business value of your work
